Back in 1963 British teens Barbara Bezant and Lyn Phillips recorded a message for Paul McCartney on a tape and sent it to the London theater where the Beatles were performing. The tape didn’t reach the Beatles but was eventually purchased years later by a historian who decided to find the women with help from BBC. The ladies were reunited in Liverpool and BBC brought something special for them, a response from Paul McCartney:
It read: “Hi Linda and Barbara, thanks very much for you lovely tape. It finally got through, better late than never.
“Great to hear that you found each other after all these years.
“Keep enjoying the music, love Paul.”
The women had not seen each other for 40 years.
