When Keith Richards presumably signed his deal with the devil that gave him the ability to live past all predictions of his demise (despite a steady flow of drugs to his system and unlimited Jack Daniels), there must have been a clause that allowed him to put out a solo album in the year 2015. From Billboard:
the Stones guitarist announced Crosseyed Heart, his first solo album since 1992’s Main Offender. It’s due out Sept. 18 on Republic Records.
Richards provided vocals, guitar (electric and acoustic), piano, and bass for the new record. He co-wrote the majority of Crosseyed Heart’s songs with co-producer Steve Jordan. It also includes a duet with Norah Jones called “Illusion,” which she co-wrote. Rounding out the collaborators are guitarist Waddy Wachtel, keyboardist-vocalist Ivan Neville, background singer Sarah Dash, keyboardist Spooner Oldham, steel guitarist Larry Campbell, and saxophonist Bobby Keys.
Keith Richards may have been the first person to make a deal with the devil where everyone agrees that the devil got ripped off.
