Watch the animated trailer for the BBC play based on Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’
As Pink Floyd celebrates the 40th anniversary of their classic album The Dark Side Of The Moon, BBC Radio 2 is debuting a radio drama based on the album and penned by legendary playwright Sir Tom Stoppard. From BBC:
Sir Tom said: “I used a lot of the album, well all of it other than the lyrics, as a kind of underscore. I was picking up emotional cues from the music.
“I called [guitarist and singer] David Gilmour and asked: ‘Do you mind if I write dialogue on top of your instrumental pieces?’, and he said ,’Of course not’.”
Aardman Animations (the studio responsible for Wallace and Gromit) has created a beautiful trailer for the play. Watch below:
