Here’s the first official image of André 3000 as Jimi Hendrix
André 3000 is playing Jimi Hendrix in the upcoming biopic All Is By My Side (premiers in September in Toronto). Aside from a quick off camera shot or two, this is the first image of the Outkast member actually in the film that we have seen. The Toronto International Film Festival describes the film as follows:
Jimmy James, an unknown backup guitarist, left New York City for London, England in 1966. A year later he returned — as Jimi Hendrix. All Is By My Side brings authenticity and poignancy to the story of the man behind the legend, and of the people who loved and inspired him.
