TLC’s T-Boz and Chilli recorded a new version of their 1995 hit Waterfalls with Japanese singer Namie Amuro replacing the deceased Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes.’ The song sounds pretty much the same until you hit the 3:08 mark and you hear Amuro’s verse which is just barely audible over the sound of Left Eye rolling in her grave. Left Eye’s sister, Reigndrop Lopes, is extremely disappointed, telling TMZ, “I did not know about it until a fan posted it online. I mean it would have been nice if they would have given us a heads up before being surprised.”
Reigndrop says her mom was shocked and hurt as well … because she felt keeping Lisa on the song would have honored her daughter’s memory.
At least we now know Left Eye’s sister is named Reigndrop. Listen below:
