Video: That time Minnie Riperton was attacked by a lion
The late great Minnie Riperton was a guest on Sammy Davis Jr’s talk show Sammy & Company in 1975 to talk about her album Adventures in Paradise. She tells the story of recreating the album cover for a commercial with a different lion (the original was named Simba) who attacked her. Bonuses include Richard Pryor impersonating her and stories about Minnie being pregnant with her daughter Maya Rudolph. Watch below:
