It was November 13th, 1975 and Bob Dylan was in New Haven, CT on his Rolling Thunder Revue tour when Ken Regan snapped this photo. An already quite famous Bruce Springsteen came backstage to meet the man he would later refer to as “the brother I never had” when he inducted Dylan into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This and other photos of Bob Dylan by Ken Regan are featured in an exhibition at Morrison Hotel Gallery starting tomorrow May 20th. More photos of this iconic first meeting and your music pairing after the jump.

Who would have guessed that these two curly-headed lads would write some of the very best songs of modern times?

Just for the record, this was not their first meeting. They met a few weeks earlier at a party at Gerde’s Folk City in Greenwich Village, where Dylan invited Springsteen to join the Rolling Thunder Revue tour. Springsteen had to turn him down because he was in the middle of the Born to Run tour, and because he wouldn’t have been able to use the E Street Band.

If I had this print from the original set of the 150, what would this be worth?
